Major League Baseball is returning to the Field of Dreams site in Dyersville, Iowa, on Thursday, Aug. 13, for a regular-season game between the Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies.

The matchup will be the third MLB game staged at the site and the first since 2022. The New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox played the inaugural edition in 2021, followed by the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs in 2022.

A Triple-A game will open the week's program on Tuesday, Aug. 11, when the Iowa Cubs meet the St. Paul Saints. The two dates are separate ticketed events and should not be treated as one doubleheader.

MLB says the Twins-Phillies game will be the first Field of Dreams edition available globally on Netflix. Availability can still vary by account, location and service terms, so viewers should confirm access with the platform.

The setting connects the event to the 1989 film while the game itself counts in the clubs' regular-season schedule. The temporary ballpark is near the film site rather than a replacement home stadium for either team.

MLB's announcement described ticket lotteries and sales that occurred in June. Fans looking for entry now should use official event and authorized resale channels and verify the event-specific terms before paying.

Outdoor event details remain vulnerable to weather and operational changes. A published date does not guarantee an uninterrupted start or completion at the originally announced time.

The event's recent history is short enough that claims about a permanent annual tradition would be premature. MLB held two editions, paused after 2022 and scheduled this third game four years later.

For planning, the stable sequence is the Triple-A game on Aug. 11 and the MLB game on Aug. 13. Updated start times, transportation rules and venue policies should come from MLB close to each date.
